Inclusive Cities Forum 4 Neighborhood Leaders

  
Creating Whole Communities will host a forum "Leading the Inclusive City: Lessons for St. Louis"  Weds. April 22, from 4:30 - 7 pm. Author and urban policy expert Robin Hambleton will report on ways cities shape their futures through place-based leadership despite economic and social forces beyond their control and a panel of three St. Louis leaders will evaluate the lessons for our own metropolitan area.The forum is free by registration is required: Get details and register here.

Chronicle Quotes Local Grantmakers on Ferguson Issues

Did you see the 9-11-14 issue of the Chronicle of Philanthropy ? (a print copy is available here) Suzanne Perry questioned some local grantmakers  (as well as reps from W.K.Kellogg & Ford foundations) about plans to assist long-simmering  racial justice issues.  The article reports responses from Amelia Bond -- Greater St. Louis Community Foundation,  the Rev. Starsky Wilson--Deaconess Foundation, and Julie Russell -- United Way of Greater St. Louis.
