Prospect Research

  • APRA, Assn.  of Professional Researchers for Advancement Missouri-Kansas Chapter Research links, include excellent database recommendations, and tips.
  •  Grantspace.org gathers several Foundation Center recommended sites, databases, books, online articles and podcasts  about prospect research on a national level. Please note, access to databases "available at  some Foundation Center libraries," means the FC only original libraries  located  in NYC, Washington DC, Atlanta, Cleveland and San Francisco. Contact the G&FC to find out if they are available here.
  • Donors Forum library in Chicago also offers a free Introduction to Prospect Research class as part of the library's orientation every other Tuesday.

October 26, 4:00-5:00 p.m. "Nonprofit Capacity-building through Partnering with Universities." Christine Berg and Peggy Neufeld, Washington University School of Medicine faculty, describe a service-learning model that supports non-profits in programming, evaluating, building community partnerships, using research literature and evidence when writing grants, and training staff and volunteers.
