Busy busy busy!

Vu Le & the GFC Librarian
at Momentum Conf.
October was quite the month for St. Louis Public Library's Grants & Foundation Center & its librarian, who kept busy this month by:
  • Attending the Foundation Center's "All Together Now" conference for Funding Information Network supervisors in New York City - learning additional tricks and tools for our grantseeking patrons, including more about the huge amount of information, including training, available via their GrantSpace website.
  • Touting the GFC's nonprofit resources at the Network for Strong Community's #NSCMomentum2016 conference which featured an inspirational (& hilarious) keynote speech by Vu Le of Nonprofit with Balls fame and workshops on collaboration, social impact investing, racial equity, advocacy 101 & much, much more!
  • Presenting "Introduction to Grants Research" to nonprofits located in the St. Louis Promise Zone at the Capacity Builders Conference at Florissant Valley Community College - & will be presenting it again at St. Louis Public Library November 16, 2016 at 4:30 - click here to sign up.
  • Repping St. Louis Public Library at the SLACO Neighborhoods Conference at Harris Stowe State University - met lots of people with a lot of energy to make positive changes in St. Louis.
We have also had a lot of traffic at the Grants & Foundation Center, & hosted an interesting class on capacity-building through partnerships with universities.

Come by, email, call and/or keep an eye on the blog to see what's coming up at the GFC.

Full house at the GFC
