Nonprofit organizations often lack the resources that for-profit organizations have in the field of finding and hiring new employees.  Come to this class to learn effective recruiting strategies, as well as the dos and don’ts of effective interviewing, tips for asking behavioral questions, and role play and discussion. In addition to the knowledge gained and skills practiced, participants will receive an interview guide and sample telephone screen that can be customized for your own use.

Instructor Sarah Kirschner has managed people for over 20 years and has served nonprofits as a senior staff member, a board chair and a volunteer. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and has an MBA from Washington University. In addition to providing consulting services to nonprofit and corporate clients, Sarah was a Vice President of Human Resources and has held senior operations positions that included the HR function. Sarah is currently providing consulting services to a project of the Missouri Foundation for Health, a small nonprofit, and a statewide organization.
