2011 Fall St. Louis Nonprofit Events

  • Art Holiday emcees Matching Dreams with Promise, AFP St. Louis' National Philanthropy Day luncheon honoring local philanthropists and fundraisers Nov. 15 at America's Center. Cost: $55 per person.  Click on the AFP link at right or call 314/416-2238 for more information. Use the same site to ask about the AFP St. Louis Chapter Fellows Program. Through this program, the chapter offers fundraisers a complimentary 2-year AFP membership, a scholarship to one Fundraising Fundamentals Series per year, 10 complimentary chapter luncheon programs per year and the opportunity for a mentor. Apply before Nov. 9.

  • All organizations interested in Neighborhood Development might watch to attend the Community Partnership Project free Brown Bag Series focusing on What's Working in St. Louis Neighborhoods.   • For anyone interested in the future of  St. Louis education, the Gateway Center for Giving is partnering with the Teacher Salafy Project and Microsoft Partners in Learning to present a free screening of the documentary American Teacher at the Missouri History Museum Dec. 14 at 2:30 pm.  A panel discussion will be held after the screening.
