2 tidbits of info from yesterday's "Finding Government Grants for Your Nonprofit" workshop led byDianne Benjamin and Gail Dickson from St. Louis ARCHS here at Central Libraray:

Some government grantmakers are using the term "SGA" instead of "RFP." Guess it stands for "Solicitation (of) Grant Applications"?
When you're looking for SGAs/RFPS, a workshop participant recommended www.grantgopher.com

October 26, 4:00-5:00 p.m. "Nonprofit Capacity-building through Partnering with Universities." Christine Berg and Peggy Neufeld, Washington University School of Medicine faculty, describe a service-learning model that supports non-profits in programming, evaluating, building community partnerships, using research literature and evidence when writing grants, and training staff and volunteers.
